When I start a new project, I usually have a vision. As long as I continue with project, everything changes. What I wanted to portray does not always coincide with the result. Here is a good example of this process chain. Initially, the idea was to show the duality of human nature, bipolarity. But in the end it turned out to be a fortune teller.
Here is my frustration about losing weight. I was exhausted myself doing exercise without any progress, but then I started a KETO diet and lost 12 kg easily. So, the benefits of sports in weight loss are very exaggerated.
The woman on this drawing is not me. This situation is imagination.
“Girl and a dove”
I made this oil painting 4 years ago. At that time, I became interested in painting and began to attend oil painting classes. When I saw Rolf Armstrong’s works the first time, I fall in love with it, because they evoked some nostalgic feelings. Pretty girl’s faces, in old-fashioned hats and clothes (1920-30) were making me happy for some reasons. Maybe because of their youth, happiness, and beauty I feel also happy and not old. Rolf Armstrong (April 21, 1889 – February 22, 1960) was an American illustrator and painter of pin-up art. His works not so famous nowadays and not so recognized, like other American painters or Europeans. However, if I understand right, he was popular in his own time.
